No pressure either way. Call us for a free walk-through.
Storm and Ice Damage
Most of our repair calls follow weather. The ice storms that roll through the Tri-Cities every winter snap top rails, split pickets, take down whole sections under the weight of fallen limbs, and twist chain-link fabric off the line wire. Spring brings the straight-line wind events that bend gate frames, and the freeze-thaw cycles through February and March push posts out of plumb until a leaning run topples in the next storm. We repair what the weather did — replacing individual pickets, splicing in new posts where the originals snapped at grade, re-tensioning chain-link fabric, re-hanging gates with reinforced hardware — and we do it fast. Storm work jumps the queue when it's needed.

Post Repair and Frost Heave
A leaning post is the most common repair we run on. The cause is usually one of three things: rot at the base where the wood meets the soil, frost heave lifting a shallow concrete footing, or the original post was set too shallow and the freeze-thaw cycles finally won. The fix depends on the material. Wood posts often get reinforced with steel sleeve repair sleeves driven beside the original post and through-bolted to the rails — faster and cleaner than replacing the post and rebuilding the panels. Steel and vinyl posts with rotted internal inserts get the insert replaced and the concrete re-poured. Where the original footing wasn't deep enough, we dig a new hole below frost line and reset the post in proper concrete that won't lift come February.
Gates, Hardware, and Sectional Repair
Gates take the most abuse on any fence — opened thousands of times a year, slammed by wind, and hung on hardware that's working under load every minute. Sagging gates almost always trace back to a hinge that's worn or a post that's shifted, both of which we fix on-site. Latches that won't catch get re-aligned or replaced with self-closing hardware that handles seasonal expansion. Sectional repair — swapping a few cracked vinyl panels, replacing rotted bottom rails on wood, patching cut or damaged chain-link fabric — is usually a same-week job once we've walked the damage. We carry common parts for every material we install, so the second visit is the install visit, not another walk-through.

Signs It's Time to Call
Some damage is obvious. Some sneaks up. Either way, here's what we see most often on repair calls.
Leaning Posts
One leaning post means the next storm or the next freeze-thaw cycle takes the section down with it. Catching it early usually means a sleeve repair, not a full panel rebuild.
Broken or Missing Pickets
Storm-damaged or rotted pickets are easy to swap one at a time on most fence systems. Don't wait until the gaps make the fence useless for whatever it's containing.
Gates That Won't Latch or Drag
A dragging gate is a hinge issue, a post issue, or a frame issue — all repairable. A latch that doesn't catch is also a security and pet-containment issue. Quick fix in most cases.
Sections Down After a Storm
Fallen limbs, straight-line wind, and ice loads put whole sections on the ground. We respond fast on storm work and can get most homeowners back to a secure perimeter within a few days.
Our Fence Repair Process
Repair calls are faster than installs and usually start the same week. Here's how we run them.
Walk-Through and Diagnosis
We come out, look at the damage, and tell you what's repairable and what needs replacing. You get a written estimate the same day or the next morning — no canned package pricing, no upselling.
Material and Parts
We stock common repair parts for wood, vinyl, chain-link, ornamental steel, and most farm fence components. When the original material is discontinued, we source the closest match or step you through the replacement options.
On-Site Repair
Most repairs are completed in a single visit — a half-day for a few panels, a full day for storm damage across multiple sections. We work clean and we work fast.
Walk-Through and Cleanup
When the repair is done, we walk it with you, double-check post plumb and gate swing, and haul off every scrap of broken material the same day. No follow-up visit needed.
What Our Clients Say
"Cedar privacy fence on a sloped lot off Volunteer Parkway, and the ground turned to shale about a foot down. Their crew brought the right gear, cored the post holes clean, and the line ran dead straight up the grade. Came through last winter's ice storm without a leaner."
